Watch Guide (US)
Watching Samurai Blue from the States depends on the competition. Here's where to watch, starting with what's live right now.
World Cup 2026: live through July 19
Japan's run is over, but the party isn't
The knockout rounds are on Fox and FS1 in English and Telemundo in Spanish, free over-the-air or with any basic TV package. And Tubi's free World Cup hub has full match replays (up 1 to 2 hours after the final whistle, no account needed) plus highlights, running through the final.
Relive Japan's run:
- Brazil 2-1 Japan extended highlights (Fox Sports): Sano's screamer, then the late heartbreak in Houston.
- Fox Sports World Cup highlights hub: every Japan match, including the 4-0 rout of Tunisia.
- Full match replays on Tubi: free 90-minute replays if you want the whole thing.
- FOX Soccer's official YouTube highlights playlist: for sharing and rewatching on your phone.
US rights for the 2030 World Cup (June 8 to July 21, 2030) are not announced yet; this page will be updated when they are.
Next up for Japan: Kirin Challenge Cup & Kirin Cup
Four matches this fall: Sep 24, Sep 28, Oct 1, and Oct 5
Japan's first matches since the World Cup, and the start of the road to the Asian Cup. All four are home matches in Japan, streaming live on DAZN Japan (Standard plan, ¥4,200/month, roughly $28). Kickoffs land in the early morning US time, so brew the coffee and make it a matchday breakfast. Opponents will be announced by the JFA soon; check the official Samurai Blue page or our schedule for updates.
The honest caveat: DAZN Japan requires a Japan-based account, which typically means a Japanese payment method and/or a VPN. That's the reality US fans face, not an endorsement. It may violate DAZN's terms of service, so read them and decide for yourself.
Asian Cup 2027 & Asian qualifiers
A US broadcaster for the Asian Cup 2027 hasn't been announced yet, and we'll update this the moment one is. In the meantime, the AFC has a strong track record of streaming its competitions free in the US when no broadcaster holds rights: the entire 2026 qualifying run was on the official AFC Asian Cup YouTube channel. Subscribe there now and you're covered either way.
